The jury deliberating a police brutality case against two Ocean Beach officers indicated Tuesday it may have come to a partial verdict.
Acting Ocean Beach Police Chief George Hesse is facing felony charges for allegedly beating up Samuel Gilberd in 2005, and officer Arnold Hardman was charged for allegedly covering up the attack. The defense says Gilberd?s injuries were the result of a drunken fall. The jury has been deliberating for six days.
Jurors told the court Tuesday afternoon they had come to a decision on some of the charges but were stuck on at least one. The judge told the panel to keep deliberating.
The jury also asked for an explanation of two of the charges and to see some of the evidence again. It will continue deliberating Wednesday.
