Jesse Friedman to sue Nassau County District Attorney Kathleen Rice for defamation

Convicted child molester Jesse Friedman says he is planning to sue Nassau County District Attorney Kathleen Rice for defamation.

Friedman, of Great Neck, says Rice made "false and defamatory statements" in her 2013 review of his conviction for child molestation. Friedman denies Rice's claim he wrote "vicious pornography" while in prison, calling it an "utterly baseless falsehood."

Friedman was convicted in 1988 after admitting to sexually abusing young boys and spent 13 years in prison. He says any damages recovered in the lawsuit will be donated to a wrongful conviction legal defense charity.

Rice's office says it is reviewing the notice.
