The first of two fundraisers for the sons of fallen Bridgeport firefighter Terrence Cramer was held at Two Roads Brewing Co. in Stratford on Wednesday night.

Cramer, a beloved Bridgeport firefighter for 10 years, was killed last month during a home invasion at his girlfriend's house in Stratford. He leaves behind two sons, Jaxon and Jagger.

“It’s what we do," Local 834 union member Daniel Brelsford says, "It’s our brotherhood."

All of the wristband proceeds went to "Our Brothers Keeper" to support the futures of Cramer’s two young boys.

"Terrence Cramer was the No. 3 guy on my company," says Capt. Michael Donovan, of the Bridgeport Fire Department. "It’s really heartwarming to see the support that his children are getting."

The Bridgeport Firefighter Union has a second fundraiser planned for this Saturday at Seaside Park in Bridgeport.

“We know we’re not going to be able to fill Terrence’s void for his boys, but they’ll remember this moment," Brelsford says. "Especially when times in their lives get tough, they’re going to know a lot of people had their back."
