The Suffolk County Family Court held its annual "National Adoption Day" on Friday.
It was held at the Long Island Aquarium in Riverhead.
The adoptions of nine children were made official, and families celebrated with a breakfast and fun day at the aquarium.
National Adoption Day this year falls on Saturday, Nov. 22.
