The Islip Town Board did not decide about whether to equip a Starbucks with a drive-thru.

A decision was anticipated Thursday, but officials say new concerns over traffic forced the decision to be delayed.

"In the interest of giving the town board adequate time to review some of the comments that we received as late as this afternoon, I'm gonna make a motion to adjourn to the next chance of zone meeting next month," said Islip Town Supervisor Angie Carpenter.

Residents have pointed out that the location on Montauk Highway is already too busy and could cause accidents.
