A man has been arrested for allegedly yelling offensive remarks at a teen in Island Park.

Thomas McGarry, 67, of Island Park, made threats to an 18-year-old food delivery driver, Nassau police say.

The teen had removed a prayer mat from his car and knelt down to pray after making a delivery to a neighboring resident, according to police.

The man is accused of yelling derogatory words at the victim and making a violent threat.

McGarry is being charged with aggravated harassment and is set to face a judge later this month.
