Island Harvest holds Thanksgiving food distribution at Nassau Coliseum

An army of volunteers helped to feed about 3,000 families.
The drive is one of the largest and is helping people have a healthy meal for Thanksgiving.
Families tell News 12 the drive means so much, especially during the pandemic.
"It means a lot, people caring you know? It really touched me a lot, I'm going to cry right now," said Simone Ferebee, of Hempstead.
Island Harvest Food Bank has distributed more than 11 million pounds of food since the beginning of the pandemic.
