Security has increased at Brentwood schools following a shooting on Friday.
Police say 16-year old Carlos Argueta shot a 22-year-old man in front of the Brentwood public library on Friday. The shooting forced a lockdown at the high school.
Police were asked to step up patrols in the area starting on Tuesday.
The school is using a metal detector to check for weapons. They will also be doing random searches.
Police are still looking into whether the shooting was gang-related.
