The man accused of stabbing two police officers in Medford before being fatally shot this week is apparently no stranger to the law.
Enrique Lopez, 56, had been arrested previously for assaulting a police officer back in 2011.
Police say they were responding to reports that Lopez had been threatening his roommate inside of a residence on Birchwood Road when he turned on the officers.
The single condo in question is apparently owned by a company called Concern Housing.
The company said in a statement that it was sending condolences to the injured officers and that "this is an unprecedented event in the full array of housing types that Concern operates."
