An Indian citizen has pleaded guilty to manslaughter in a fatal Hicksville crash that occurred over two decades ago.

Prosecutors say Ganesh Shenoy was driving double the speed limit when he ran a red light and crashed into Philip Mastropolo on Old Country Road in April 2005. Mastropolo died at the scene.

Shenoy fled to India weeks later, according to authorities. He was extradited to the United States in 2025.

He faces up to 10 years in prison when sentenced.
