A Levittown woman whose breast cancer has taken a turn for the worse remains dedicated to helping other women who are also struggling with breast cancer.

Adina Perullo's breast cancer has metastasized and is now in her liver. It's stage 4. While there are treatments, there is no cure.

"The median survival rate for stage 4 for women under 40 is three years, and I'm 10 months in," says Perullo.

The 37-year-old mother of two doesn't dwell on her diagnosis. Perullo and her family help make ribbons that showcase the colors of metastatic breast cancer -- pink, green and teal.

"I want to be a part of finding a cure," says Perullo. "I want to put my money where it is actually going to research. I want to actually be a part of saving lives."

Perullo says she didn't know how much strength she had until she was forced to find it. Realistically she knows she may not be able to save her own life, but she wants to help others.

"I feel like I can either spend my time on this Earth with my family being sad and devastated and ask God why me and why is this happening? Or I can say you know what this is my journey. This is my path," says Perullo. "I have this and it's terrible and I hate it. But I'm here today. I feel good today. I'm going to spend the days that I feel good doing the things that I want with those that I love."
