The owner and an employee of a Suffolk County vape shop were arrested this week for selling marijuana and THC products. The lights were on Thursday night at Huntington Village Vapes following the arrest of owner Ryan Casillo, 42, and employee Ryan Lembeck, 30, on Wednesday. Suffolk County police say they seized 86 boxes of marijuana, THC products, flavored vapes and cash. "I think they should obey the law for sure, it's a little surprising," said Maciej Pawolwski, who lives in Huntington. Police say Lembeck sold cannabis without a license and Casillo was charged with possession of cannabis. "There's enough legal places, especially in this area, to get it," said Bill Wisniewski. "There's no reason for them to be doing it." It's not the first time this store has been in hot water. In 2022, an employee was arrested for selling vape products to a minor. "I don't know what the penalty is," said Henry Sanchez, of Huntington. Maybe it is worth the money he makes, and if he gets fined, he's ahead of the game." Casillo and Ryan are due back in court on Dec. 2. The store declined to comment any further.
