A Huntington car show Sunday honored a fallen NYPD officer.
The Centurion Cruisers Car Club and the Police Surgeons Benevolent Association hosted the event in memory of
NYPD Officer Adeed Fayaz.
The Deer Park native was shot while off-duty, during an attempted robbery, while he was trying to buy a car in Brooklyn back in February.
The father of two died three days later in the hospital.
"The idea is not just to raise funds for the family but to honor the family and honor his memory," said the Police Surgeons Benevolent Association's Ray Mascolo. "It's a wonderful feeling because it makes the families happy, and they had two scooters made for the kids with their father's shield and precinct number on them."
All the money raised from the car show will go to the family of Fayaz.
