Huntington canceled today's Columbus Day parade due to expected inclement weather.
A Huntington councilman said in a statement to participants, "Due to the impending rain scheduled for Sunday morning, the Oct. 10 parade is canceled. It is too dangerous and participation will be limited."
The parade is an annual tradition meant to celebrate Italian heritage, culture and the contributions made by countless Italian Americans.
