Nassau Executive Laura Curran and county officials are discussing tips that will help residents protect themselves from oppressive heat and heat-related illnesses.
News 12 meteorologists are expecting records high temperatures this week.
The county executive is recommending that people limit their time outdoors and take advantage of cooling centers.
