Hot and sunny conditions for Brooklyn; tracking heavy rain and wind for Wednesday night

News 12 Storm Watch Team Meteorologist Hope Osemwenkhae says Tuesday will be sunny, hot and dry. It will also be breezy today with gusts up to 20 mph.

NEXT: We'll be back to the summer heat and humidity tomorrow with a chance of strong to severe storms. The humidity won’t be as stifling as this past weekend, but it will feel very uncomfortable.
A cold front will move through our area Wednesday evening bringing the threat for heavy rain, damaging winds, small hail, thunder and lightning. Storms could linger before dawn on Thursday. The exact timing is still uncertain. Storms are now looking to happen after midnight.
OVERNIGHT: Cloudy, lows drop to the mid 70s so we are staying warm. It's breezy as well with some gusts up 20+ mph.
WEDNESDAY: High of 92 degrees. MORE HUMID THAN OUR TUESDAY making things uncomfortable again. We will see those storms move in during the afternoon/ early evening and continue throughout the night. Lows in the low 70s.
THURSDAY: Starts wet as showers can linger from the night before. It dries out by mid morning and we have much more pleasant temps with highs around 85 degrees and lows around the high 60s.
FRIDAY: Sunny and BEAUTIFUL. High of 80 degrees (lovely) and lows in the high 60s.
WEEKEND: Chances of rain both days. Saturday temps are the low 80s and lows are in the mid 70s. Sunday we could see some storms and higher temperatures in the high 80s. Lows in the low 70s.
NEXT WEEK: Sunshine, clouds, and temps in the low to mid 80s. Lows in the 60s!
