A homeless man is accused of endangering children at a Baldwin day care center.

Police say Kevin Johnson screamed obscenities at children and teachers Tuesday afternoon, outside of Learn and Play Day Care Center on Grand Avenue.

When teachers brought the kids inside, police say the 40-year-old tried to throw an orange construction cone through a front window to get inside.

A teacher called 911, and police say Johnson ran off.

No one was hurt.

Johnson is facing child endangerment charges.
