Homeless man accused in attempted Copiague bank robbery

A homeless man is accused of trying to rob a bank in Copiague. Police say John Phillips went into the Bank of America on Sunrise Highway Friday afternoon and handed the teller a note demanding cash.

When the worker refused, police say Phillips took off.
News 12 is told Phillips will face a judge on Saturday.
