A Holtsville movie theater reopened Friday night after repairs to its fire detection system were completed.
The Town of Brookhaven shut down Island 16 on Thursday after officials said the system was broken.
The fire marshal was on scene on Friday night to make sure everything was repaired and ultimately gave the theater the green light to reopen.
Brookhaven Town officials also told News 12 that the theater didn't clear snow away from all of its emergency exits at first. Because of this, they say the theater could face penalties.
