Nathan Lane has stepped into very different territory in the Broadway revival of Arthur Miller’s "Death of a Salesman," taking on the role of Willy Loman at the iconic Winter Garden Theatre.

It’s a striking turn for an actor so closely associated with sharp comedy and big musical energy in productions like "The Producers" and "The Birdcage," now inhabiting one of American theater’s most heartbreaking characters.

For his performance, the New Jersey native earned his seventh Tony Award nomination, adding another milestone to a long and varied career.

The production also stars Laurie Metcalf and is a limited engagement at the Winter Garden Theatre running through Aug. 9.
