The Amityville teen who was in a coma just five months ago has returned to school.Mikey Dukes was the victim of a hit-and-run in April. The 16-year-old was hit in the head by a car after he bent down to tie his shoelace. Mikey was in a coma for six weeks and in the hospital for five months. Doctors told him it was unlikely he'd ever walk again.Beating the odds, Mikey began his junior year at Amityville High School. For now, the wheelchair helps him get around the hallways easier, as he hits the books and starts his life again. Mikey says his motivation through it all has been basketball. He says he can't wait to get back on the court and play the game he loves.
