The Hi-Railers Train Club in Paterson is inviting visitors to come see their model train display – one of the largest layouts in the country.

It features replicas of the New York City subway system, along with landmarks like the old Pan Am building and Grand Central Terminal.

For members of the club, the project is a labor of love.

“We love seeing the smiles on the kids’ faces when they come through. We have a whole bunch of buttons for them to press,” said club member Bob Luliucci.

The Hi-Railers Train Club work on the layout from March through September.
