A Hempstead man is facing decades behind bars after he was found guilty of murdering a man.
Prosecutors say Jamik Cannon and Brian Marshall-Gibson opened fire on Demetrius Winfield and his friend on Wellesley Street in Hempstead back in October 2018.
They say the duo fired at least 15 shots in just 14 seconds, killing Winfield and injuring his friend.
Cannon is expected to be sentenced in July. He is facing 50 years to life behind bars.
Marshall-Gibson pleaded guilty last year and is serving 20 years to life in prison.
