Two men received maximum sentences today for their roles in a brutal triple-murder in 2009.
Officials say Hasan Vaughan and Thomas Singletary tortured, beat, shot, stabbed and strangled Vaughan's girlfriend Katrice Daniels, her sister, Mykier, and a friend.
Authorities say the two proceeded to torch Daniels' home in Central Islip to cover up the crime.
Both men were found guilty of murder charges last month. Vaughan was sentenced to life in prison without parole, and Singletary was sentenced to more than 100 years behind bars.
Vaughan allegedly took revenge because Daniels stole his laptop, jewelry and credit cards.
Lawyers for both Vaughan and Singletary say they plan to appeal.
