Hard Rock Atlantic City is looking to fill hundreds of positions and offered jobs on the spot as pandemic restrictions loosen in the Garden State.
The hotel and casino held a one-stop shop hiring event on Tuesday with a variety of open positions.
"Guest room attendants, EVS attendants, front desk agents to the gaming operations, dealers, casino cashiers, food and beverage," explained Bob Ellis, vice president of human resources at Hard Rock Atlantic City.
Hard Rock is looking to fill 700 positions, some full-time and some seasonal, which could lead to permanent positions.
Some of the candidates News 12 spoke said the hiring event was much needed after a tough year.
"It's been hard to find a job, so as soon I found out that there was a job fair, I thought I have to go and take my chances at least. I've been out of a job for a couple months now so this was my opportunity," said Brasilia Paz, of Atlantic City.
She would eventually be hired on the spot.
"As soon as she [said], 'OK we're going to hire you,' it's just like 'oh my God I can relax now,'" Paz enthused.
Hard Rock says it has brought back most of their furloughed full-time employees, with the exception of banquet, events and entertainment team members.
Those jobs are still on hold as some COVID-19 restrictions are still in place. But despite restrictions, Ellis said they're gearing up for a busy summer in Atlantic City.
"I think it's important to say were very optimistic for a busy summer. I think we can just tell, based on the volumes of people here, that feel like we're going to have a good summer and with that means we need to hire people to service our guests," Ellis said.
