Hamptons residents are upset after Suffolk County Mosquito Control sprayed the area without warning on July Fourth.
Officials say the county needed to finish spraying that had been halted earlier this week due to rain.
The county is not required to notify residents before using the spray, which they say is almost nontoxic to humans. Officials are required to tell residents before spraying pesticides.
Some residents say they immediately ran inside when they noticed the helicopter because they were worried about the chemicals.
