Armed guards are coming to the Half Hollow Hills Central School District.
The school board passed a resolution Wednesday to hire Covert Investigations and Security to station armed guards at its schools.
The district previously said the guards would be in a vehicle on the perimeter of the property.
It says the guards would only go into a school in the event of an armed intruder.
It is not clear yet when the guards will be deployed.
