A Greenlawn mother will be jumping out of an airplane in honor of her daughter who died of cancer.
Donna Desousa-Schmidt's daughter, Maggie, left behind a list of things she wanted to do before she died, one of which was skydiving.
"I'm actually going to release some of Maggie's ashes when we're in the sky, so it feels like she'll be there with me," Desousa-Schmidt says.
Desousa-Schmidt will live out her daughter's dream Friday to kick off a gala that funds pediatric cancer research.
