A Long Island doctor has been charged for illegally distributing oxycodone pills, police say.
According to court documents, Dr. Roya Jafari-Hassad operated a medical office in Great Neck and allegedly charged her patients hundreds of dollars in cash in exchange for an illegal monthly oxy prescription.
News 12 has been told a search warrant was executed.
Following the search, Hassad reached out to her patients and tried to get them to change their testimony regarding the illegal prescriptions.
