Governor Cuomo says New York will move forward with administering the Johnson & Johnson vaccine.
The decision comes less than 24 hours after the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention lifted an 11-day pause on the shot.
The agency says the risk of severe and rare blood clots outweighs the benefits.
News 12 has reached out to the Nassau County Health Department, and it says they do not currently have any scheduled appointments with the Johnson & Johnson vaccine.
The health department says it will follow along with New York State guidelines regarding the vaccine.
