Some residents of Gordon Heights say something needs to be done to stop the saturation of registered sex offenders in their community.
Currently, 56 registered sex offenders call Coram home -- 39 live in Gordon Heights. Some residents say they fear for their children?s safety.
State Senator Ken LaValle (R-Selden) agrees. He says a civil confinement law needs to be passed, which would place residence restrictions on level 3 sex offenders. LaValle also says a civil confinement bill would diminish sex offender clusters.
