A Glen Cove man pleaded guilty to selling the pills that killed two people.
Prosecutors say Devon Thurmond helped sell fake oxycodone pills that were actually fentanyl. The pills have been blamed for two fatal overdoses, one in 2021 and another in 2023.
Thurmond faces up to 40 years in prison when he is sentenced.
Two other people have also pleaded guilty in connection with the case.
