The Girl Scouts of Suffolk County kicked off its season-long holiday lights show in Bayport.
There are plenty of lights to see in the enchanted forest.
Girl Scouts and their families flipped the switch Friday evening to turn on all the holiday lights. There are light displays of toy soldiers, snowmen, and Santa himself.
The light display goes for about half a mile at Camp Edey. News 12 is told there are 25 miles of electrical cords with enough power to light up 50 homes. There also is music, a fire pit and plenty of Girl Scout goodies and merch.
All ticket sales go to benefit the Girl Scouts, who were first to see the display.
"We just get to see how happy and excited everybody is and it's a chance for us to bond and connect,” says Emma Mazzarella, from Patchogue.
"Younger girls can put in to design a fixture that is here for a while so that's pretty cool,” says Olivia Phillips from Mastic.
The lights show is open every Friday and Saturday night from now until Dec. 21. You can buy tickets online
