An alleged gang member who fatally shot a man in Valley Stream last month is due in court on Monday.

Kyle Matthews, 21, was arrested last week in connection with the fatal shooting of DeAndre Carter, 20, on Ocean Avenue outside an illegal party at a rental hall. Police say a 12-year-old and two teens were also shot but survived. Another man was injured as well.

A second suspect was arrested in the case on Saturday.

Matthews pleaded not guilty to murder and weapon charges.
