FREEZE WATCH: Cold overnight, rain returns Monday evening on Long Island

A freeze watch will be in effect overnight for parts of Long Island, according to Storm Watch Team meteorologist Meredith Garofalo. 
MONDAY: WEATHER TO WATCH -- Dry and chilly to start. Sun gives way to clouds into the afternoon and evening. Highs around 53. Rain moves in after 8 p.m. Some rain may be heavy at times with gusty winds, maybe an isolated storm. This will generally only impact overnight travelers. Lows around 42.
TUESDAY: Showers taper off after 5AM. Sun and clouds into the afternoon with highs around 54. Lows around 40.
WEDNESDAY: Sunny - highs around 57. Lows around 44.
THURSDAY: Sun and clouds - highs around 60. Lows around 49.
FRIDAY: Mainly sunny - warmer - highs around 65. Lows around 47.
SATURDAY: Sun and clouds. Highs around 60. Lows around 47.
SUNDAY: Sun and clouds. Highs around 58. Lows around 49.
