A Freeport business is stepping up to help another local business that was destroyed by a fire.

Duryea’s Flower Shop was one of three business that were completely destroyed by a fire.

The incident happened last month on Guy Lombardo Avenue in Freeport.

The florist was a long-time fixture in Freeport, operating in the village since the 1930s.

The restaurant Otto’s Sea Grill in Freeport is giving the florist a place to set up and continue their business today.
