A Freeport man accused in a string of church burglaries was arraigned today. 

David Spencer was arraigned on 18 counts of burglary.

Police say Spencer broke into Memorial Presbyterian Church in Roosevelt, Perfecting Faith Church in Freeport and Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Baldwin.

 

Spencer is also accused of a fourth break-in in Great Neck.

Police say the burglaries were between January and September and that he took items ranging from a Yamaha keyboard to chalices.
