Former DEA task force officer from Seaford gets 3 months behind bars for kicking handcuffed suspect

Dustin Genco pleaded guilty in August 2023 and prosecutors say he lied about the assault by filing a false report.

A former Drug Enforcement Administration task force officer from Seaford will spend three months in jail for assault.

Dustin Genco was sentenced Thursday for kicking a handcuffed suspect in the chest and stomach in 2022.

Genco pleaded guilty in August 2023 and prosecutors say he lied about the assault by filing a false report.

Genco was also an investigator for the Nassau County District Attorney's Office.
