Police accused a New York City man Friday of selling counterfeit clothing at a Levittown flea market.
According to police, 67-year-old Arlington Filler was in possession of more than $100,000 worth of fake name-brand clothes. They say Filler sold phony Lacoste, Diesel, North Face and other labels at the Tri-County Flea Market in Levittown. Undercover officers who routinely check flea markets for counterfeit goods say they discovered Filler. Tri-County Flea Market officials say they do not condone the sale of bogus clothing and are not responsible for vendors who do so.
Investigators say they hope to find out the identity of the manufacturer. While Filler faces a class E felony charge and up to four years in prison, cops hope to climb up the food chain and catch the bigger fish.
