A fisherman who suffered a medical emergency onboard of a lobster boat has died despite efforts to save his life.
The Coast Guard was called to help a man onboard the Lady Clare at around 10 p.m. Sunday, south of Shinnecock Inlet. 
The man was having trouble breathing. The fisherman was rushed to Southampton Hospital where he was pronounced dead.
Officials have not released his identity pending notification of next of kin.
