Firefighters had to use special equipment to pry open a car that was involved in a crash early Sunday evening in Amityville.

The crash that happened just before 6 p.m. on Route 110 near Brefni Street resulted in another car turned over.

Details surrounding the cause of the crash and how many people were involved were not immediately clear as of Sunday night.

Suffolk police said it did not appear that any serious injuries resulted from the crash.
