Firefighters battle blaze at vacant East Islip house
Firefighters battled a fire early this morning at a vacant house just south of Sunrise Highway in East Islip. Fire officials say it started just before midnight on Lagoon Place and Moffit Boulevard.

Firefighters battled a fire early this morning at a vacant house just south of Sunrise Highway in East Islip.
Fire officials say it started just before midnight on Lagoon Place and Moffit Boulevard.
Volunteers from three departments were on the scene. There were no injuries reported.
