A fire broke out at a home in Elmont on Sunday evening.
Firefighters responded to the house on Roy Street just before 5 p.m., officials say.
The Elmont fire chief reported fire on the exterior of the home made its way inside.
Approximately 50 firefighters responded to the scene, with mutual aid from the Floral Park, Valley Stream, and Lawrence-Cedarhurst departments.
One person was inside the home when the flames broke out and was able to evacuate on their own.
There were no reported injuries.
The fire is now under investigation by the Nassau County Fire Marshal’s Office and Nassau Police Arson/Bomb Squad.
