If you plan on heading out to Sailors Haven this summer, you can expect to take a boat from the Sayville terminal on River Road.

The Fire Island National Seashore has just renewed its contract with the Sayville Ferry Service.

The service has been chosen to shuttle visitors to the Pines, Grove, Sailors Haven and Water Island since 1894.

The boats start operating on the summer schedule on June 23.
