Fire at East Meadow home causes partial roof collapse; no injuries

Police say the flames began outside and then partially spread inside the home.

No one was hurt in a fire that broke out early Saturday morning at a home on Stephen Marc Lane in East Meadow.
Police say the flames began outside and then partially spread inside the home.
The East Meadow Fire Department was assisted by three other mutual aid fire departments. They were able to extinguish the blaze.
Authorities say part of the roof collapsed. Everyone had safely evacuated by time fire officials arrived. No one was injured.
The exact cause of the fire is still under investigation, according to police.
