FDA: Food, packaging unlikely to spread COVID-19

The FDA says COVID-19 is a respiratory illness spread from person to person, different from foodborne viruses that can make people sick through contaminated food.

Food and food packaging are highly unlikely to spread COVID-19, that’s according to the FDA, Department of Agriculture and the CDC.
The three agencies sent out a reminder stressing the lack of credible evidence to suggest that food or its packaging are associated with transmission of the virus.        
The FDA says COVID-19 is a respiratory illness spread from person to person, different from foodborne viruses that can make people sick through contaminated food.
