Loved ones of Israeli hostages attended a menorah lighting Thursday in Roslyn Heights.
Omer Neutra, a 21-year-old from Long Island, was serving in the Israeli military when Hamas terrorists captured him.
His mother was present at the event.
"The light of our lives - from the darkness of the tunnels and back into the light," Orna Neutra said. "We pray for a Hanukkah miracle."
The lighting also included performances and other Hanukkah traditions.
