Family launches campaign to get Huntington woman lifesaving kidney donation

A Huntington woman is in search of a lifesaving organ donation.
Kathy Grant Murphy, 67, has struggled with Type 1 diabetes for over five decades and now is in desperate need of a kidney.
"People look at me and they are like, 'You don't look sick,'" Grant Murphy says. "And I'm like, 'If you only knew what was going on inside.'"
At first, Grant Murphy and her family were hoping a donation could come from a family member, but no one was a match.
Her brother, Michael, says with the help of the Saint Patrick's Saint Vincent DePaul organization, the family is launching an all-out campaign to get the word out.
"I have two wonderful daughters and I have a grandson, who I have the best time with, so if there was ever a reason to live, especially for them," Grant Murphy says.
