The family of a Dix Hills man in dire need of a liver transplant is desperately hoping to find a donor.
Charlie Schlau, 20, has battled liver disease since he was born, but his health has taken a downturn in the past week.
He's been on the donor list since November but he is still waiting.
Schlau needs a donor with a blood type B or O, in good health and between age of 18 and 55.
Schlau's mother say he's currently in Mount Sinai Hospital getting treatment for complications from a recent procedure.
His parents say that since they adopted Charlie when he was two from the Ukraine, the couple and their immediate family are not a match.
Those who have blood type B or O,  are between 18-55 years old, in good health and think they may be a donor match, please email the Schlau family at:  Bpositiveforcharlie@gmail.com
