A former Suffolk County police sergeant was sentenced to an additional one to three years Thursday on new charges of stealing from Hispanic drivers.
In January, Scott Greene was convicted of two felony counts of grand larceny. An investigation found that he targeted Hispanic drivers in the Farmingville area by pulling them over and stealing money from them. Greene is currently serving one to three years in prison for those crimes.
A jury acquitted him of grand larceny as a hate crime.
Greene pleaded guilty in April to additional felony grand larceny charges. He will serve the additional sentence concurrently with his current prison term.
